President Trump signed executive actions targeting higher education and K-12 schools, focusing on issues such as college accreditation and school discipline policies.

One action addresses college accreditors accused of imposing discriminatory standards, while another promises new discipline guidance for K-12 schools to ensure policies are based on behavior rather than diversity initiatives.

Education Secretary Linda McMahon praised the orders for promoting innovation in higher education, transparency in college finances, and support for new technologies in the classroom.

The orders reflect Trump’s conservative education agenda, including workforce training, AI education, and initiatives for historically Black colleges and universities.

The order on college accreditation aims to overhaul the system to increase intellectual diversity on campuses and hold colleges accountable for ideological bias.

Another action demands transparency regarding foreign funding at American universities, with potential revocation of federal grants for non-compliance.

The executive actions also include new federal guidance on school discipline, revoking previous policies aimed at reducing racial disparities in suspensions and expulsions.

Trump’s initiatives seek to promote excellence at HBCUs, strengthen workforce programs, and advance AI education in schools, among other priorities.
