During an event in Washington, D.C., Donald Trump spoke about the immense power of the presidency and what he could do if he were to return to the Oval Office. He emphasized the extent of power that comes with being the president, stating, “The president has such power, it does. It has such power.”

At the event for Moms for Liberty, a far-right group, Trump was asked by co-founder Tiffany Justice about his response to the increase in the number of transgender children. This comes in the wake of a Supreme Court ruling granting Trump “absolute immunity” for official acts during his presidency.

Vice President Kamala Harris’ campaign shared a clip of Trump’s comments on social media, accusing him of fantasizing about a plan to take control over Americans’ lives. Trump has been known to use dictatorial language on the campaign trail, with recent comments defended in an interview with Dr. Phil where he criticized the media for being dishonest.
