Very Wealthy Group Set to Buy TikTok, According to President Trump

President Donald Trump has announced that a group of “very wealthy people” is in talks to purchase the popular short-form video app TikTok. In a recent Fox News interview, Trump revealed that a buyer has been identified for TikTok, pending approval from China.

While Trump did not disclose the identities of the potential buyers, he mentioned that he would reveal more details within the next two weeks. This timeline aligns with his previous statements, where he has expressed a desire to see TikTok under new ownership to avoid a potential ban in the United States.

Earlier this year, Trump had proposed the idea of a joint venture between ByteDance, TikTok’s current owner, and new investors that would give the U.S. a 50% ownership stake in the app. He had also mentioned the possibility of tech moguls like Larry Ellison or Elon Musk taking over TikTok, although the latter seems less likely now.

As the negotiations continue, the fate of TikTok hangs in the balance. With the involvement of such high-profile figures and the potential for significant changes in ownership, the future of the popular video-sharing platform remains uncertain.
