President Donald Trump publicly acknowledged his wife Melania’s success in gaining bipartisan support for the passage of the Take It Down Act during a rare moment of humility. The president, known for his divisive rhetoric, praised Melania’s ability to unite both sides of the aisle in passing the legislation aimed at protecting victims of digital exploitation. In a speech at the White House congressional picnic, Trump jokingly told his wife that she might be taking his job after her impressive accomplishment. The Take It Down Act, which was signed into law last month, increases penalties for spreading “revenge porn” and nonconsensual deepfakes. Melania’s achievement highlights the importance of bipartisan collaboration in addressing critical issues. Watch the full speech starting at the 4:45 mark in the video above.
