All three federal rulings are likely to unsettle Trump, with the Kennedy Center issue expected to be particularly bothersome.

Trump has been directed:

It is hereby ORDERED that the Defendants, along with their employees, agents, and anyone acting in collaboration with them, are preliminarily ENJOINED from executing or implementing the decision made by the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts Board of Trustees on March 16, 2026. This decision involves the “wind-down” of programming activities and the complete closure of the Center effective July 5, 2026, to allow for repairs and restoration funded by Section 60025 of the One Big Beautiful Bill Act. Refer to ECF No. 34-5 at 8.

Defendants are prohibited from advancing the March 16 decision during the duration of this action, unless the Board approves any closure that aligns with the Court’s Memorandum Opinion, and the Court issues a subsequent Order to dissolve or modify this preliminary injunction.

The administration is prohibited from closing the Kennedy Center or pursuing plans to rename it in honor of Trump.

Additionally, the president faced more unfavorable developments on Friday.
