O’Keefe Media Group Defense Department Branch Chief labels President Trump as “illegitimate”

In a striking revelation, the O’Keefe Media Group unveiled undercover footage on Wednesday featuring a Defense Department Branch Chief, Nicolas Turza, vocally condemning both President Trump and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth.

Turza, a figure within the Department of Defense, did not hold back, labeling President Trump as “illegitimate” and expressing a fervent commitment to “resist him, everything he does.” This declaration raises eyebrows, as it comes from someone in a significant government position.

In his critique, Turza also turned his attention to Hegseth, remarking on his youth and questioning his qualifications for leadership. “The same guy who tried to overthrow an election is just, like, truly setting us down a path of dictatorship. He’s illegitimate. He’s terribly immoral, breaking every norm. We’re going to resist him. Everything he does,” Turza stated, reflecting a deep-seated disdain for the current administration.

“I’m a very patriotic person, and I’ve never been less patriotic,” Turza confessed to the OMG journalist, a sentiment that seems to capture the inner turmoil some officials experience when their values clash with their roles.

Addressing Hegseth directly, Turza said, “Ultimately [Hegseth] is my boss. But this is insane. I actually know Pete Hegseth. And this is so crazy. Like, that’s not a good reflection on me. That’s a bad reflection on Trump. Like, nobody I know should be the Secretary of Defense.” This statement not only critiques Hegseth but also implicitly questions the standards for leadership within the military establishment.

He continued, “Like, he’s insanely young to be the part, like, and he wasn’t that high up in the military. He used to be in the DC National Guard.” Such commentary gives insight into the perceived disconnect between experience and authority in high-ranking positions.

When pressed about Trump’s qualities, Turza did not hold back: “The worst thing about him is his utter lack of moral principle… The second worst thing about him is how stupid he could be.” These remarks, blunt and unfiltered, reflect a growing frustration among certain government officials regarding the current political climate.

In a twist of irony, James O’Keefe, the founder of the media group, stated that Hegseth had likely never even heard of Nicolas Turza. This adds a layer of absurdity to the entire exchange, where a subordinate’s outspoken criticism may not even register with those at the top.
