The United States Department of Homeland Security’s official X account has sparked controversy by using a still from a recent “South Park” trailer to promote the Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s website. The trailer, dropped by “South Park” on July 29 to tease the second episode of Season 27, features footage of ICE officers presumably raiding the fictional town of South Park. The teaser also includes a scene of Donald Trump groping Satan’s leg under the table at a dinner party.

It is worth noting that the creators of “South Park,” Trey Parker and Matt Stone, often produce episodes at the last minute to stay current with real-world events. Therefore, it remains unclear if the ICE-related footage will actually appear in the upcoming episode. The use of “South Park” to promote ICE has raised questions, with inquiries being made to Comedy Central for their response to Homeland Security’s decision.

Season 27 of “South Park” premiered with an explosive episode targeting Trump, where the president is portrayed as begging for sex from Satan. The episode also featured a Deepfake-assisted PSA with Trump stripping naked, accompanied by the slogan “Trump. His penis is teeny-tiny, but his love for us is large.” The White House responded to the episode, dismissing “South Park” as irrelevant and desperate for attention.

Despite the controversy, the new episode of “South Park” is set to air on Comedy Central on August 6, with streaming available on Paramount+ the following day. Fans can expect more satirical humor and timely commentary from the long-running animated series. Stay tuned for the latest antics from the residents of South Park as they continue to push boundaries and challenge societal norms.
