Last spring, the National Security Agency (NSA) uncovered indications of an atypical phone call involving an individual linked to foreign intelligence and someone in close proximity to Donald Trump, as stated by a whistleblower’s attorney familiar with the call’s existence.
This highly sensitive communication, which has caused quite a stir in Washington over the past week, was reported to Director of National Intelligence (DNI) Tulsi Gabbard. However, instead of allowing NSA officials to disseminate the information further, she opted to take a physical copy of the intelligence directly to the president’s chief of staff, Susie Wiles, according to attorney Andrew Bakaj.
Following her meeting with Wiles, Gabbard instructed the NSA not to proceed with publishing the intelligence report. Rather, she directed NSA officials to send the classified details straight to her office.
