Tubi is once again stepping onto the field with support from its parent company, Fox Corp.
The free, ad-supported streaming service, Tubi, will broadcast the highly anticipated Thanksgiving Day NFC North clash between the Green Bay Packers and the Detroit Lions live in stunning 4K quality and at no cost to viewers.
The annual NFL event known as the “John Madden Thanksgiving Celebration” is set to kick off on Thursday, November 27, at 1 p.m. ET. Football fans can catch the Packers-Lions game not only on Tubi but also via Fox Broadcasting, the Fox Sports app, Fox Deportes, and Fox One (accessible through a subscription or pay-TV authentication). The Tubi livestream will incorporate local ad placements from Fox’s regional stations. Notably, last year’s Thanksgiving Day matchup on Fox, where the Dallas Cowboys triumphed over the New York Giants 27-20, recorded the highest viewership for a regular-season NFL game in 2024, attracting an average of 38.8 million viewers.
Tubi also provided a free livestream of the 2025 Super Bowl, broadcasted on Fox, which turned out to be the most-streamed Super Bowl to date. The event garnered over 24 million unique viewers across various game-day programming, leading to historic numbers for both Fox Sports and Tubi with an average minute audience of 13.6 million and a peak viewership of 15.5 million during the game.
In a significant achievement, Tubi announced in June that it has surpassed 100 million monthly active users. The platform boasts an extensive library of nearly 300,000 movies and television episodes available to U.S. viewers, including a growing selection of original content — all accessible for free, supported by advertisements. Tubi has been part of the Fox Corp. portfolio since its acquisition in 2020.
