Twenty years strong: a love letter to JS

JS, a leading tech media company, is celebrating its 20th anniversary. As someone who has been a part of this journey for half of that time, I can confidently say that working at JS has been the highlight of my career. Having previously worked at renowned media organizations such as Time Inc, Dow Jones, and Reuters, I can attest that the culture at JS is truly unique.

The environment here is unlike any other – it’s contrarian, smart, hilarious, and filled with hard-working individuals. Everyone at TC wears multiple hats, showcasing their versatility and dedication to the brand. This is not just a regular media company; it’s a place where curiosity thrives, where people genuinely care about the brand and each other, and where challenging the status quo is not just encouraged but expected.

In the past decade, I have had the privilege of interviewing some remarkable individuals, from tech titans like Sam Altman and Marc Andreessen to influential figures like Al Gore and Conan O’Brien. These conversations have provided valuable insights into how technology, policy, and human ambition intertwine to shape our world. JS has taken us to various corners of the globe, from Lisbon to Hong Kong, where we have met founders who have risen to stardom and witnessed industries evolve and sometimes fade away.

Despite the challenges in the media industry, JS continues to thrive. We have had the opportunity to engage with prominent figures and cover groundbreaking stories in transportation, cybersecurity, AI, and startups. Our commitment to uncovering the truth, holding power accountable, and staying ahead of the curve remains unwavering.

I want to express my gratitude to Michael Arrington for creating a brand that has exceeded all expectations. Thanks to our parent companies, including Regent, for their continued support. As we reflect on the past twenty years, we look forward to another two decades of asking tough questions, anticipating trends, and collaborating with individuals who make every moment worthwhile.

To everyone who has been a part of this incredible journey – writers, editors, readers, and supporters – thank you for contributing to JS’s success. Your belief in the power of technology to drive positive change and your trust in us to deliver impactful stories are truly appreciated. Here’s to the next chapter of innovation, discovery, and growth at JS.
