Gunman at Large After Shooting Two Men Inside NYC Deli
Two men were shot and wounded inside a New York City deli on Friday afternoon, with the shooter still on the loose as police investigate the incident, authorities said.
During the shooting at Alex Deli & Grocery on 1256 Flatbush Avenue in Brooklyn around 3:47 p.m., a 24-year-old man was shot in the face and a 26-year-old man was hit in the back, according to the NYPD spokesperson.
Both victims were taken to Kings County Hospital in stable condition.

It is unclear if the victims were employees of the deli or customers.
The suspect, described as a man wearing a black puffer jacket, ski mask, ripped navy jeans, and black and white sneakers, fled the scene westbound on Newkirk Avenue, sources said.
No arrests have been made, and the motive for the shooting is still unknown.

The United Bodegas Association condemned the violence and offered a $5,000 reward for information leading to the identification and arrest of those responsible for the incident.
“We are sending a clear message to Mayor Mamdani and Governor Hochul,” said Fernando Mateo, spokesperson for the United Bodegas Association, ABC News reported.

“We need funding for panic buttons and real security measures. Our members cannot do this alone. The City and the State must step up to protect the men and women who own and operate these bodegas.”
The investigation is ongoing.
