Teen violence continues to plague the streets of New York City, with two 17-year-old boys becoming the latest victims of gun violence near a Brooklyn school. The shooting occurred in broad daylight near Isaac Bildersee Junior High School in Canarsie, just a day after another teen was shot outside a high school less than a mile away.

According to authorities, the two boys were shot near Avenue J and 82nd Street, with one of them sustaining multiple gunshot wounds to the leg and torso, while the other was hit in the leg. Thankfully, both victims were in stable condition following the incident.

The motive behind the shooting remains unclear, adding to the growing concern over teen violence in the area. This incident comes on the heels of another shooting outside South Shore High School in Canarsie, where a teenager was shot in the leg by another teen before collapsing nearby.

Unfortunately, these incidents are part of a disturbing trend of violence near New York City schools. Just last week, a 17-year-old boy was shot in the leg outside a high school in Staten Island, further highlighting the need for increased safety measures in and around educational institutions.

As of Wednesday night, no arrests had been made in connection with the recent shootings, leaving the community on edge and calling for action to address the root causes of youth violence. The safety and well-being of students should be a top priority, and it is essential for authorities to work together to prevent further tragedies from occurring on school grounds.
