Teenage Software Engineer Attacked in Unarmed Carjacking Incident
Two 15-year-olds have been charged with unarmed carjacking after allegedly attacking Edward “Big Balls” Coristine, a teenage software engineer and former Neuralink intern who gained prominence in the Trump administration’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).
Coristine, who recently resigned from DOGE but returned to federal service at the Social Security Administration to enhance the agency’s website, was reportedly with his girlfriend in Washington’s Logan Circle when a group of approximately 10 teens approached them around 3 a.m. on Sunday. The teens made comments about taking their car, prompting Coristine to push his girlfriend inside for safety before confronting the group. The situation escalated as the group attacked him until police intervened.
Elon Musk took to his social media platform, X, to commend Coristine for his bravery. Meanwhile, President Trump shared a graphic image of Coristine post-assault on Truth Social, advocating for the prosecution of teens as adults.
