Authorities in Denver are currently searching for one or multiple individuals believed to be responsible for assaulting two women in the Speer and Platt Park neighborhoods earlier this year, according to official reports.

The incidents occurred on January 7th at 5:30 p.m. in the 1300 block of South Grant Street, and on January 27th at 8:50 p.m. at the intersection of South Grant Street and East Ellsworth Avenue, as stated by the Denver Police Department.

The motive behind the attacks and whether the same suspect is involved in both incidents remains unclear, according to authorities.

Chief of Police, Ron Thomas, urged the public to remain vigilant, particularly when out running during nighttime hours.

“We recognize the fear these incidents have instilled in our communities, and we are leaving no stone unturned in our efforts to apprehend the individual(s) responsible for these assaults,” Thomas stated.

The suspect in the initial assault is described as a 6-foot-tall Black male with short dreadlocks and a possible hand tattoo. He was last seen wearing a white or light-colored jacket and gray or dark-colored sweatpants, as per the police report.

Investigators have obtained footage of the suspect standing on East Louisiana Avenue between South Broadway and South Grant Street on January 7th between 5:30 and 6 p.m. They are keen to speak with a group of three individuals who were walking a dog in the vicinity at the time.
