Philix Baca, 20, has been sought for first-degree murder since April 2024, when he was allegedly involved in the killing of Francisco “Cisco” Laqui, as identified by family members.

After receiving information that Baca was potentially hiding in Colorado Springs, Lakewood police coordinated with the U.S. Marshals Service to track him down.

A task force comprised of marshals and various local and federal law enforcement agencies located Baca at a residence in northeast Colorado Springs and took him into custody on Wednesday.

Baca is scheduled for his next court appearance on Tuesday.
