The NFL game in Brazil has been a topic of concern for some players, but UFC star Gilbert Burns assures everyone that they will be just fine in his native land. The game between the Eagles and the Packers in São Paulo has raised eyebrows, especially after Eagles cornerback Darius Slay criticized the decision to hold the game in a place with a high crime rate.

However, Burns, who hails from Rio De Janeiro, says that the athletes have nothing to worry about. He reassures them that Brazil is not as dangerous as some may think, emphasizing that while there are rough areas like in any city, overall it is a beautiful place. He even encourages the players to explore the town during their free time.

The 38-year-old fighter points out that the football players resemble Brazilians in terms of their physique, so they will blend in just fine and have a great time. Despite the NFL advising players to stay in their hotels during the trip, Burns recalls that the UFC has given similar instructions in the past, but those who ventured out have had positive experiences.

Addressing concerns about wearing the color green in Brazil, Burns dismisses any superstitions, stating that he has never heard of such beliefs. He affirms that the players will enjoy their time in Brazil, describing the country as “very nice.”

As Burns prepares for his fight against Sean Brady in Nevada, he expresses excitement for the game in São Paulo, emphasizing that it will be a significant event. He predicts that the game will surpass expectations and be even bigger than anticipated.
