An incident of assault occurred on a Bronx train last week, where an elderly man was pepper-sprayed in the face by an aggressive woman after accidentally bumping into each other. The 70-year-old victim was on a northbound No. 5 train at the East 180th Street station when the altercation took place around 2:50 p.m. on Jan. 7. The assailant, described as a woman with a dark complexion, approximately 5-foot-2 inches tall and weighing about 180 pounds, reacted violently to the accidental bump and sprayed pepper spray into the senior’s face.
The victim experienced pain and redness from the attack but refused medical attention at the scene. The suspect managed to flee the scene before authorities arrived. The NYPD released a photo of the wanted suspect, urging anyone with information on her whereabouts to contact the Crime Stoppers Hotline.
The suspect was last seen wearing a navy-blue jacket, a black sweater, blue pants, and a black hat.
