Anamaria Milazzo, a former employee of the Greater Southern Tier Board of Cooperative Educational Services [BOCES] in upstate New York, has been charged with a felony for allegedly sending nude photos to a 14-year-old boy. The 22-year-old Elmira resident was arrested after a school resources officer received a tip about her inappropriate behavior towards a minor. It was revealed that Milazzo had been sending lewd photos to the teenager over a period of three months.

The Chemung County Sheriff’s Office confirmed the arrest, stating that Milazzo has been charged with second-degree disseminating indecent material to minors in the second degree, a felony, and endangering the welfare of a child, a misdemeanor. Despite the serious charges, she was released with a ticket and is scheduled to appear in Wellsburg Village Court at a later date.

Milazzo was employed at a BOCES facility in Chemung County, although the specific details of her role and tenure at the school have not been disclosed. However, GST BOCES officials have confirmed that she has been terminated from her position following the incident.

The identity of the 14-year-old boy has not been revealed, and it remains unclear whether he was a student at the same BOCES school where Milazzo was employed. The case has raised concerns about the safety and protection of minors in educational settings, prompting a swift response from law enforcement and school authorities.

This incident serves as a stark reminder of the importance of vigilance and accountability in safeguarding the well-being of young individuals. It also underscores the need for thorough background checks and stringent policies to prevent such misconduct in educational institutions. As the legal proceedings continue, the community awaits further developments in this troubling case.
