Judy Schwab, an accomplished human resources leader with extensive experience at Disney and Apple, has been appointed as the new chief people officer at UTA.
“Judy’s remarkable history of cultivating high-performing teams and advancing people-centric culture perfectly aligns with our needs for this position,” noted David Kramer, UTA’s CEO. “Her leadership, insight, and expertise will be crucial as we embark on the next chapter of growth at UTA.”
Before joining UTA, Schwab was with the short-lived sports initiative, Venu, a collaboration between Warner Bros. Discovery, Fox, and Disney, which was ultimately dismantled. Prior to that role, she served as a senior HR executive at Apple, where her focus was on the company’s services division that encompasses Apple TV+, Sports, Video, and Music.
Schwab spent five impactful years at Disney from 2018 to 2023. She played a critical role in the executive team that launched Disney+, which demanded significant recruitment and HR support to rapidly scale the streaming unit for a global audience.
Throughout her tenure at Disney and other organizations, Schwab accumulated valuable experience managing large teams during complex mergers, acquisitions, and initial public offerings (IPOs).
Schwab’s appointment is part of a broader strategy to strengthen UTA’s corporate support team since David Kramer took over as CEO of the talent agency in June.
