Former Vanity Fair editor Tina Brown has not held back in her scathing review of Meghan Markle’s new Netflix show. Brown, a renowned expert on the royals, did not mince her words when criticizing the Duchess of Sussex for her latest venture into the world of television.

In a recent article on her Substack newsletter, Brown, 71, lambasted Markle for missing the mark with her new kitchen series, labeling her as “too damn impatient” and “behind the curve” in her endeavors. Brown went on to suggest that the only show Markle could have successfully pulled off would have been one where she openly admitted to the failures of the past five years.

Brown did not hold back in her criticism of Markle’s decision to choose Netflix over a potential future with the Royal Family and the Commonwealth. She expressed her disbelief at the Duchess’s lack of foresight and strategic planning, suggesting that Markle and Prince Harry had made a grave error in their choice of career path.

The former editor pointed out that Markle’s new show, “With Love, Meghan,” comes at a time when society is moving away from the pursuit of fake perfection. In a world where authenticity and rawness are celebrated, Brown deemed Markle’s show as out of touch with the current cultural zeitgeist.

Expressing her bewilderment at the couple’s decision to step back from their royal duties, Brown highlighted the missed opportunities that Markle and Harry had squandered by choosing Netflix over the potential global influence they could have wielded within the Royal Family.

Despite the less-than-stellar reviews and criticism from industry insiders, Markle’s show has been renewed for a second season. However, behind the scenes, there are concerns among Netflix executives about the show’s poor reception and its impact on Markle’s upcoming lifestyle brand, “As Ever.”

Critics have slammed Markle’s show as self-centered and forced, with guests allegedly being coerced into praising the Duchess. Despite the negative feedback, Netflix is moving forward with the launch of Markle’s lifestyle line, albeit with some trepidation.

In light of the controversy surrounding her show and brand, Markle has been active on social media promoting her new endeavors. However, the road ahead may be rocky for the Duchess as she navigates the challenges of building her brand and reputation in the face of mounting criticism and skepticism from industry insiders and the public alike.
