Versant’s USA Sports and the Pac-12 Conference have announced a five-year rights agreement that will bring regular-season football and men’s and women’s basketball games to USA Network. Starting in the 2026-2027 season and running through 2030-31, the deal will see over 80 Pac-12 games airing on USA, including 22 regular season football matchups, 50 regular-season men’s basketball games, and five to ten regular-season women’s basketball games. All games will be produced by Pac-12 Enterprises, the conference’s broadcast production arm, in partnership with USA Sports.
Matt Hong, president of USA Sports, expressed his pride in partnering with the Pac-12 and showcasing the league to a national audience on USA Network. He stated, “Our partnership further establishes USA Network as a destination for all sports fans, with weekends packed with Pac-12 football doubleheaders and men’s and women’s basketball double- and triple-headers beginning next fall.”
This announcement comes on the heels of Versant unveiling USA Sports as a new stand-alone sports media unit earlier in the week. The unit will utilize USA and Golf Network to broadcast a variety of sports matches, including WNBA, WWE, and NASCAR.
Pac-12 Commissioner Teresa Gould also shared her excitement about the partnership, stating, “We are thrilled to launch this partnership with the USA Sports team and leverage our shared vision to build something unique and special.”
The Pac-12 Conference is currently undergoing a significant realignment following the departure of several member schools to other conferences. The remaining two schools, Oregon State and Washington State, are working to form a new entity that includes Boise State, Colorado State, Fresno State, Gonzaga, San Diego State, Texas State, and Utah State.
This collaboration between Versant’s USA Sports and the Pac-12 Conference marks an exciting new chapter for both organizations, as they aim to bring high-quality sports content to audiences across the nation.
