An individual believed to be experiencing homelessness was stabbed twice in the heart of Times Square on Saturday. The victim, who was reportedly shirtless, was heard yelling “save the children” as he bled profusely after the attack.

The incident took place outside 1501 Broadway, near West 44th Street, where the assailant stabbed the 30-year-old victim in the left ribs and arm around 11:40 a.m.

A witness described the victim as bleeding from his chest and shouting repeatedly following the attack.

The victim, who remains unidentified, was transported to Bellevue Hospital in stable condition. According to authorities, he was uncooperative and the motive behind the attack remains unclear.

The attacker, described as wearing a black jacket and dark pants, fled the scene in an unknown direction.
