A chilling surveillance video captured the moment when Danette Colbert, infamously known as the “Bourbon Street Hustler,” enticed sports reporter Adan Manzano into a hotel room in the New Orleans area, where he was later found dead, as revealed by police authorities.

The footage depicts Colbert, 48, together with Manzano, 27, a journalist for Telemundo Kansas City who was in town to cover the Super Bowl, entering a Comfort Suites hotel around 5 a.m. on February 5th. Over the course of the following hours, Colbert was seen leaving the room multiple times before eventually departing for good, leaving Manzano behind. Unfortunately, Manzano never reappeared, and his lifeless body was discovered later that night by authorities, according to Kenner Police Chief Keith Conley.

Upon investigation, it was determined that Manzano’s phone and credit card were missing from the hotel room, with the card being used for unauthorized transactions at various stores across New Orleans.

Subsequently, Colbert was taken into custody the following day, and a search of her residence yielded the missing credit card and phone, as well as narcotics and a stolen firearm.

Chief Conley described Colbert as a repeat offender with an extensive criminal history involving confidence schemes, access device fraud, and robbery plots. Notably, at least two of her previous cases involved seducing, drugging, and robbing men.

Locals in the Big Easy had even given her the moniker of the “Bourbon Street Hustler,” a title she had apparently earned due to her illicit activities, as reported by the Daily Mail.

Colbert currently faces charges related to property crimes in connection to Manzano’s death, though she has not been charged with murder at this time.

Nevertheless, authorities have emphasized that the investigation is ongoing, indicating that charges may be upgraded once the coroner’s report is obtained, a process that could span several weeks.

Chief Conley added that the coroner’s findings will play a crucial role in determining whether the case is classified as a homicide or another form of death based on the evidence at hand.

Prior to his untimely demise, Manzano had suffered the loss of his wife in a tragic car crash the year before, which also left their young daughter injured.
