A violent robbery took place at a Brooklyn deli in the early hours of Thursday, where two individuals slashed a deli worker on the head for a bottle of soda worth only $2. The incident occurred at a gas station deli on Sutter Avenue near Euclid Avenue in East New York around 4:20 a.m. The suspects, armed with a knife, demanded money from the 30-year-old worker before inflicting the injury.

Despite the worker’s attempts to intervene, one of the suspects struck him on the forehead with a knife. The perpetrators managed to steal a bottle of soda before fleeing the scene in a black vehicle on Sutter Avenue. The worker was transported to Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center by EMS responders and is currently in stable condition.

The suspects, described as males with medium complexions, remain at large as no arrests have been made as of Thursday. The violent nature of the robbery over a small item like a $2 soda highlights the risks faced by deli workers and the need for increased security measures in such establishments. The incident serves as a reminder of the importance of safety protocols and vigilance in preventing criminal activities.
