The 2025 Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition has garnered over 60,000 entries from photographers worldwide. The jurors faced the daunting task of selecting 100 images that tell compelling stories and showcase a diverse range of animals in various habitats, including those impacted by human activity. Now, it’s up to the public to vote for the People’s Choice Award winner among the 24 finalists, which include heartwarming images of a baby sloth, polar bears basking in the sun, and baby kestrels getting ready to take flight.

If you’re interested in voting for your favorite image, you can do so until March 18. Additionally, you can visit the Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition at London’s Natural History Museum, where the selected photos will be on display until July 12. For photographers looking to participate in the 2026 contest, submissions are open until December 4.

Among the stunning images competing for the People’s Choice Award are a curious lion-tailed macaque with its infant, a polar bear and her cubs resting after a long journey, young kestrels preparing to leave their nest, an ambush bug nymph waiting for prey, flamingos standing out against an industrial backdrop, and a rufous-vented ground cuckoo capturing a cicada in the rainforest. There’s also a heartwarming image of a pangolin pup at a rescue center, a male marvellous spatuletail hummingbird feeding on flowers, and a sarus crane sharing a tender moment with its chick.

These images capture the beauty and diversity of wildlife while also shedding light on conservation efforts and the threats facing these animals. By voting for your favorite image and visiting the exhibition, you can support the photographers and raise awareness about the importance of protecting our planet’s biodiversity. So don’t miss the opportunity to immerse yourself in the captivating world of wildlife photography and make your voice heard in the 2025 Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition.
