In a recent episode of War Room, Steve Bannon engaged Captain James Fanell in a discussion regarding the evolving economic conflict between China and the United States.
“Captain Fanell, could you outline the primary strategies at play here?” Bannon inquired.
“Do you feel that the recent developments over the last day or so indicate a significant change in perspective?” Bannon pressed on.
“Absolutely. As you pointed out, we are currently embroiled in an economic war with the People’s Republic of China. The reciprocal actions observed over the past 48 hoursâindeed, even since late Septemberâserve as clear indicators of this reality,” Fanell affirmed.
Captain Fanell elaborated that Xi Jinping and the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) approach economic conflict with meticulous calculation, actively seeking out leverage points to turn against the U.S.
“They’ve analyzed the numbers and believe they can successfully challenge the United States within the economic landscape,” Fanell noted.
“For instance, they might implement bans on rare earth minerals targeting the U.S.,” Fanell elaborated.
“Xi is confident that he can secure a favorable outcome through this economic strategy,” Fanell added regarding China’s maneuvers.
Furthermore, Fanell criticized the Washington establishment for underestimating the threat posed by the CCP for decades, fostering a narrative of complacency around engaging with China.
“The same voices that advocated for engagement with China over the last 30 years, downplaying concerns as mere fiction, have left us exposed to real risks from the CCP,” he contended.
Turning to U.S. leadership, Fanell praised President Trump for adopting a more assertive stance against Xi and the CCP, particularly with regards to economic strategies.
“Thankfully, President Trump is responding effectively by utilizing available tools. He holds substantial leverage in critical areas, such as semiconductors and financial services, enabling him to resist Xiâs advances,” Fanell asserted.
“We face a serious predicament here. The American manufacturing sector could falter within weeks, a consequence of preemptively discarding essential industrial components in favor of Silicon Valley ideals touted by our elite on Wall Street,” Bannon observed.
“Does Xi’s strategy hinge on exploiting perceived weaknesses and distractions within the U.S. paradigm?” Bannon queried.
“Without a doubt; this tactic is integral to their strategic doctrine,” Captain Fanell affirmed.
