Real America’s Voice correspondent Ben Bergquam conducted an eye-opening interview on Thursday with ICE agents as they apprehended Radule Bojovic, an officer with the Hanover Police Department in Hanover Park, Illinois, for his illegal status in the country.
According to The Gateway Pundit, Bojovic’s arrest by ICE marks yet another unsettling episode involving local police departments hiring undocumented individuals; this case stands out as only the “second known instance” in recent months. ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations Chicago Field Office Director Sam Olson expressed his outrage over this breach of federal law.
SHOCKING: ICE Detains Undocumented Officer from Montenegro in Illinois
“Radule Bojovic has violated our laws and has been living in the United States illegally for a decade – what are police departments thinking by issuing badges and firearms to individuals with such backgrounds? It is a felony for noncitizens to even carry a firearm,” warned DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin.
In an unsettling revelation, Bojovic shared with Bergquam that he had been on the police force since January, predating Trump’s administration, and claimed he had permission to carry a gun while on duty!
An ICE agent elaborated to Bergquam that the police department merely requires work authorization for noncitizens. However, the agent emphasized that this does not excuse the oversight of Bojovic’s visa overstay. “This is a federal statute. Whether it was overlooked or somehow missed, it remains a serious violation,” the agent clarified. The gravity of the situation cannot be overstated.

BREAKING: EXCLUSIVE VIDEO FROM REAL AMERICA’S VOICE NEWS!
ICE makes an arrest of an undocumented individual masquerading as a local police officer in Suburban Chicago!
Hanover Park Police authorized an undocumented alien to carry a firearm, blatantly disregarding federal law.
CHICAGO – During a recent enforcement operation in Rolling Meadows on October 15, ICE nabbed this undocumented individual from Montenegro who had recently taken an oath as a police officer in Hanover Park. Investigators identified Radule Bojovic as someone who had overstayed a B-2 visitor visa, which required his departure by March 31, 2015. He has been unlawfully present in the country for over ten years.
“Undocumented individuals are strictly prohibited from firearm possession,” cautioned ICE’s Sam Olson. “This most recent incident adds to the alarming trend of local jurisdictions hiring undocumented individuals and giving them firearms, turning a blind eye to federal laws, which ultimately threatens community safety.”
Upon his arrest, Bojovic presented his police ID, confirming his status as an officer with the Hanover Park Police Department. He acknowledged not having any weapons on him, stating that he was only authorized to carry his firearm while on duty. Being in the U.S. illegally, ICE promptly placed him under arrest. This incident is a fresh example of Governor JB Pritzker’s clear negligence regarding adherence to federal laws, thus endangering Illinois residents.

WATCH:
Agent: The fact that a police department may have missed or overlooked an individual’s B2 overstay, which is a federal statute, is definitely concerning.
Bergquam: So, he overstayed his visa and yet has the authority of a police officer? How is that legal?
Agent: Correct. In Chicago, the criteria from their police department only requires a work authorization, and regardless of that, the fact he was overstaying cannot be overlooked. It’s a federal statute, and it seems that it was missed or ignored. Something needs to change.
