Observing Scott Jennings, the singular conservative voice on CNN, is like watching a magician perform tricks that leave his liberal counterparts utterly baffled.
This week, following the filing of charges against Democratic Representative LaMonica McIver due to her conduct at a New Jersey ICE facility, the left appears to be in a state of frenzy. Have they momentarily forgotten the foundational principle that no one is above the law?
Jennings stood firm in his defense of the charges against McIver, asserting that had she been an ordinary citizen instead of an elected official, the repercussions would have been far more severe.

During a segment on Monday, Republican strategist Scott Jennings orchestrated a delightful chaos among CNN host Abby Phillip and two Democratic guests while addressing the charges against New Jersey’s Democratic Rep. LaMonica McIver.
McIver faces allegations of assaulting and obstructing federal agents during a May 9 altercation outside the ICE facility in Newark, an event that also saw the arrest of Newark’s Democratic Mayor Ras Baraka, alongside Democratic Representatives Bonnie Watson Coleman and Rob Menendez Jr. Jennings interjected after Baraka claimed that McIver would ultimately be “vindicated.”
“I mean, the videos are pretty clear, are they not? She’s throwing elbows, landing punches. I mean, this is — this is —” Jennings remarked, only to be interrupted by Baraka, who insisted, “There’s a lot of pushing and shoving.” Jennings retorted, “Would an ordinary person who did that to a federal officer get away with it?” Baraka responded, “An ordinary person?”
