President Trump Installs Two Grand American Flags on the White House Lawn
In a move that could be described as both patriotic and a touch theatrical, President Trump has personally funded the installation of two towering American flags on the White House grounds this morning. This initiative follows a sighting reported by back in April, where the President was seen surveying the North Lawn, contemplating the ideal location for his flag poles.
“They’ve needed flag poles for 200 years,” Trump remarked, suggesting that the absence of these symbols of national pride has been a glaring oversight. “We’re putting up a beautiful, almost 100-foot-tall American flag on this side and another one on the other side.”

In the weeks leading up to today’s unveiling, teams have diligently prepared the ground for the flag poles. On Tuesday evening, Trump teased the event, stating, “They are tall, tapered, rust-proof, with a rope inside the pole, and of the highest quality. Hopefully, they will proudly stand at both sides of the White House for many years to come!”
It is my Great Honor to announce that I will be putting up two beautiful Flag Poles on both sides of the White House, North and South Lawns. It is a GIFT from me of something which was always missing from this magnificent place. The digging and placement of the poles will begin at 7:30 A.M. EST, tomorrow morning. Flags will be raised at approximately 11 A.M. EST. These are the most magnificent poles made – They are tall, tapered, rust proof, rope inside the pole, and of the highest quality. Hopefully, they will proudly stand at both sides of the White House for many years to come!
This morning, the President made an appearance on the South Lawn to inspect the installation process and engage with the crew. He greeted each installer with a handshake before holding a press conference, creating a scene that felt reminiscent of a campaign rally.
“Thanks for bringing America back,” one of the workers expressed, adding a touch of camaraderie to the proceedings.
The President reiterated to the press that the flags would be hoisted at 11 a.m. today, showcasing his enthusiasm for this grand display of patriotism.
Trump on the Flag Poles: A Historical Perspective
Trump: The White House opened about 1800, a little before that, just a tad. And I’ve always said, why doesn’t it have a flag pole from the grass? They have a little one on top, a very little one. This is about the largest you’ll ever see, and it’s tapered, it’s at a quality that you guys rarely get to even put up. They do that for a living, very incredible people. I don’t know them, but I love them. And I would bet that they all voted for Trump. I mean, I don’t know for a fact, but I think so. But we’re about to lift it, and we also have one going on what’s called the front or the North. We have one going there, identical.
So, we’ll have one on this side of the building, we’ll have one on that side of the building. And in this case, we had a lot of choices, putting it on that hill, putting it a lot of different places. It’s such a beautiful pole, we thought we’d put it near– I mean it always looks best when it’s near a doral. I put it right near. I have a similar pole. And these are the best poles anywhere in the country, the world, actually. They’re tapered, they have the nice top. I don’t know if you people are aesthetic… It’s a very exciting project for me, and then at 11 o’clock, we’re lifting the flag. But we’re going to lift the pole now, and then they’re going to the other side, get that, and then we’re going to do, I think, two flag liftings.
