Anthony Michael Hall Joins Season 2 of Netflix’s “Wednesday”

It has been confirmed that Anthony Michael Hall will be joining the cast of Netflix’s hit series “Wednesday” for its upcoming second season. This casting marks a reunion between Hall and the show’s executive producer and director, Tim Burton, with whom Hall previously worked on the beloved 1990 film “Edward Scissorhands.”

“Wednesday” follows Jenna Ortega in the lead role as the psychic daughter of the “Addams Family,” navigating her time as a student at Nevermore Academy. The second season of the series is set to debut in two parts, with the first dropping on August 6 and the second on September 3, following the success of the first season which premiered in November 2022.

Joining Hall in the new season are a host of talented actors including Steve Buscemi, Billie Piper, Evie Templeton, Owen Painter, and Noah Taylor. Additionally, the show will feature notable guest stars such as Lady Gaga, Christopher Lloyd, Joanna Lumley, Thandiwe Newton, Frances O’Connor, Haley Joel Osment, Heather Matarazzo, and Joonas Suotamo.

The returning cast members from Season 1 include Emma Myers, Joy Sunday, Moosa Mostafa, Georgie Farmer, Victor Dorobantu, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Luis GuzmĂ¡n, Isaac Ordonez, Luyanda Unati Lewis-Nyawo, Jamie McShane, and Fred Armisen.

Directed by Tim Burton, Paco Cabezas, and Angela Robinson, “Wednesday” Season 2 is helmed by series co-creators Alfred Gough and Miles Millar. The show is produced by Amazon’s MGM Television and boasts a stellar lineup of executive producers.

Anthony Michael Hall, known for his iconic roles in ’80s and ’90s classics like “Sixteen Candles,” “The Breakfast Club,” and “Edward Scissorhands,” has recently appeared in projects such as the Amazon Prime Video series “Reacher,” “Halloween Kills,” and the Netflix film “Trigger Warning.”

Having been a cast member on “Saturday Night Live” from 1985-1986, Hall also made an appearance during the 50th-anniversary celebration of the show in February. He is represented by Untitled, CESD, and Jill Fritzo PR.

With a star-studded cast and creative team behind the scenes, fans can expect an exciting second season of “Wednesday” as it continues to explore the dark and quirky world of the Addams Family.
