In the latest episode of “Saturday Night Live,” Colin Jost and Michael Che delivered their signature brand of news satire, skewering the week’s biggest headlines with their wit and humor.
Che kicked off the segment with a hilarious jab at imprisoned rap mogul Diddy, joking about his alleged love for baby oil at parties. He quipped, “In an anonymous survey of oil executives, many of them think President Trump’s ‘Drill, baby, drill’ message is a miss and his tariffs are a disaster. But there’s one billionaire oil man who still supports Donald Trump: Diddy.”
The duo also took aim at fitness influencer Ashton Hall, whose morning routine videos went viral this week. Che introduced their own parody version with comedian Devon Walker showcasing his “rise and grind” routine, complete with avocado toast facials and sleeping in his dressing room.
Not one to miss out on the fun, Jost poked fun at Will Smith’s new album release, quipping, “Will Smith has released his first new album in 20 years, and ironically, this album doesn’t slap.”
The jokes didn’t stop there, as Jost mocked a controversial portrait of President Trump that was removed from the Colorado state capitol. He joked, “Colorado officials have removed a portrait of President Trump from the state capitol after Trump complained that it didn’t look good, calling it ‘purposefully distorted.’ In the artist’s defense, Trump did pose for the portrait with a hamburger in his mouth.”
Other targets of the news satire segment included JD Vance, Kristi Noem, and the Pete Hegseth Signal controversy.
