The current administration is strategizing to counter the ongoing government shutdown orchestrated by the Democrats. A particularly notable approach has been adopted by White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt, capturing considerable attention online.
As detailed by The Gateway Pundit, the so-called “Schumer Shutdown” officially commenced at 12:01 a.m. following the rejection of two crucial Senate measures designed to prevent the government from closing its doors.
These proposals required a consensus of 60 votes for passage; however, the GOP’s proposal faltered with a 55-45 vote, with Senator Rand Paul notably aligning with Democratic positions.
In a somewhat ironic turn, the priorities of the Democratic Party and Senator Paul seemed to favor the healthcare of undocumented immigrants over the urgency of maintaining government functionality.
On Wednesday, Scott Jennings, a conservative commentator associated with CNN, shared an audio clip featuring Press Secretary Leavitt. In the message, she expressed disappointment over the shutdown, emphasizing that Democrats prioritized illegal immigrant healthcare over the needs of American citizens.
She also conveyed that, due to the shutdown, the White House would be “unable to answer your call or respond to your questions” until the Democrats took steps to resolve the impasse.
Leavitt concluded her message with a promise that President Trump would consistently advocate for the interests of American citizens.
