Fitness Wearable Maker Whoop Launches New Women’s Health Panel and App Feature

Fitness wearable maker Whoop is making strides in women’s health with the launch of a new panel through its Whoop Labs blood testing service. Alongside this, the company is introducing a new feature in its app that provides information on hormonal changes during menstrual cycles.

The new panel includes 11 blood biomarkers that offer insights into cycle regulation and hormonal transitions. Some of the biomarkers included are Anti-Müllerian Hormone (AMH), Progesterone, Prolactin, and Thyroid Peroxidase Antibodies (TPOAb), among others. These biomarkers can help users understand perimenopause, thyroid function, nutrient sufficiency, and bone metabolic resilience when combined with data on activity, sleep, and recovery.

The new blood test panel will be available for purchase starting next month. When Whoop initially launched its blood testing service in September 2025, it already had over 350,000 individuals on the waitlist.

Additionally, Whoop’s app now features a Hormonal Symptom Insights and Predictions tool that creates a model of hormonal changes over menstrual cycles based on past data. This model can predict possible date windows for the next period, provide insights into cycle lengths, period duration, irregularities, and individual symptom patterns.

The company stated that it can correlate insights from this feature with lab results to categorize biomarker results as ‘optimal,’ ‘sufficient,’ or ‘out of range.’

Whoop has also released a new menstrual cycle white paper to provide more insights into the company’s modeling behind these innovative features.

Fitness wearable companies are increasingly focusing on expanding features and services tailored to women’s health to meet the demand from this previously underserved user base. Recently, smart ring maker Oura introduced a new AI model dedicated to women’s health, along with a chatbot that offers insights on health data and answers queries.

Whoop reported a 150% increase in female users compared to the previous year, making it the company’s fastest-growing user segment. The company highlighted that women engage 30% more with its Whoop AI feature.

In a statement last October, Oura’s chief commercial officer, Dorothy Kilroy, mentioned that the company’s most rapidly growing user base was women in their twenties.
