A shocking video has emerged showing a Black Lives Matter founder engaged in a physical altercation with a female staffer who accused him of misusing the organization’s funds for gambling. The incident took place in a corridor at a Waukegan resource center, captured by surveillance cameras.

The footage shows Clyde McLemore, the executive director for Black Lives Matter in Lake County, Illinois, and project manager Nyesha Hill grappling and fighting under a large BLM banner. Despite McLemore wearing a BLM hoodie, Hill appeared to have the upper hand, managing to throw him to the ground twice and keeping him pinned down.

Although the brawl occurred in October, the video surfaced during a police investigation initiated in January following a call about an alleged battery. Hill had stormed into the office demanding money and cigarettes while accusing McLemore of using BLM funds for gambling, as detailed in a police report.

During questioning by the police, Hill expressed her frustration, stating, “I told him, ‘It’s not fair that I come here and I work and you running around taking care of other things that don’t got nothing to do with Black Lives Matter with Black Lives Matter money.’ I’m the one that make this joint work.”

Both individuals sustained lip injuries during the scuffle but decided not to press charges against each other. Hill explained to officers that she did not want to see a black man end up in jail. McLemore, on the other hand, obtained an emergency no-contact order following the altercation.
