CWBChicago was founded in 2013 by a group of residents from Wrigleyville and Boystown who were dissatisfied with the lack of accurate information provided at local Community Policing (CAPS) meetings.

Our coverage area has since expanded to include Lincoln Park, River North, The Loop, Uptown, and other North Side areas. Our core mission remains unchanged: to deliver original public safety reporting with in-depth context and detail that surpasses mainstream media outlets.
