Rosie O’Donnell’s Departure: A New Chapter in Ireland

Rosie O’Donnell has officially acted on her long-standing vow to leave the United States, embarking on a journey that has led her to Ireland.

In a candid TikTok update, O’Donnell shared that she relocated with her 12-year-old child, expressing her commitment to their well-being. “I never thought I would move to another country, but I believe it’s what’s best for my child and me. And here we are,” she stated.

While O’Donnell embraces her new life, she admits to missing her other children and friends back home, revealing a bittersweet sense of nostalgia. “I miss many things about life in America, and I’m working on finding a home here in this beautiful country. We’ll reconsider returning when all citizens in America can enjoy equal rights,” she added.

Critique of the Media and Calls for Action

O’Donnell didn’t shy away from criticizing mainstream media, accusing it of failing to hold former President Trump accountable. She encouraged Americans to rise against what she perceives as a diminishing commitment to democratic principles. “The mainstream media has let us down. The fourth estate is essential for a democracy, and they haven’t upheld their responsibilities,” she lamented.

Her rallying cry urged citizens to actively participate in the democratic process: “I encourage everyone to stand up, use their voice, protest, and demand that our country adheres to the Constitution, rather than a king or a man, and that we steer clear of cruelty in our governance,” O’Donnell asserted.

In her quest for a fresh start, O’Donnell is in the process of applying for Irish citizenship, a right she can claim through her ancestry as her grandparents were born in Ireland.
