A woman from Cuparaque, Brazil, faced a terrifying ordeal as her drunk partner set her on fire while she held their 3-year-old son.
The horrifying incident was captured on video, showing the woman engulfed in flames as she desperately ran to a neighbor’s pool for safety, with her partner and son in tow.
The woman managed to extinguish the flames by jumping into the pool, where a bystander rushed to her aid.
She was taken to a hospital with severe burns covering 40% of her body, while her son, thankfully, escaped physical harm and is now in the care of his grandmother.
Reports suggest that the woman’s intoxicated partner demanded she leave the house, then attacked her with gasoline and a lighter, leading to the horrifying incident.
The suspect fled the scene upon hearing sirens and is currently evading authorities, wanted for attempted homicide.
