Two women were discovered dead from stab wounds in Park Slope on Saturday night, at the same site where a murder-suicide had taken place two years prior, police reported.
NYPD officers were called to 386 2nd Street at around 8 p.m. to check on an unresponsive woman. Upon their arrival, they found a 59-year-old woman with multiple stab wounds across her body.
During a subsequent search of the premises, officers found a second victim, a 23-year-old woman, who had also been fatally stabbed.
Both women were declared dead at the scene by EMS. Authorities are withholding their identities until family members are notified.
Currently, there is no information on the identity of the perpetrator or the motive behind the killings.
Fred Fassberger, an illustrator who has resided on the block for 30 years, was returning from the Shul of New York when he came across the scene. He described the neighborhood as a “very safe street, very quiet.”
He recalled, “There was a murder here a while ago, and we had a community meeting at the church at the time.â
“That was the magnitude of an incident like that, that the community wanted to get together and know what was going on,” he added.

In January 2024, authorities discovered 34-year-olds Olga Kirshenbaum and Jason Jackson dead at 286 2nd Avenue in what appeared to be a murder-suicide.
Both were found with gunshot wounds to the head, and a firearm was located beside Jacksonâs body.
Kirshenbaum was a well-known financial consultant, often referred to as âThe Money Whisperer.â
Jackson worked as a cook and was recognized by neighbors for his polite and kind demeanor.
