The lead role of María, portrayed by Bábara Mori, will continue to captivate audiences alongside co-stars Ximena Sariñana, Natalia Téllez, and Amorita Rasgado. Season 2 is set to consist of eight episodes and is currently in production.

The upcoming season will delve deeper into the lives of the four women who defied societal norms by becoming Mexico’s first female police force. As MarĂa is promoted to lieutenant, she grapples with upholding the rules she swore to follow while uncovering a complex conspiracy surrounding a series of murders. Created by Fernando Rovzar and Pablo Aramendi, who also serve as showrunners, executive producers, and directors, “Women in Blue” has garnered critical acclaim since its debut. The first season received a perfect 100% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes and was praised for its gripping storytelling and nuanced portrayal of Mexico’s first female police force.
