BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA
A PROCLAMATION
As we mark Women’s History Month, we take a moment to honor the remarkable women who have paved the way for future generations and those who continue to shape our nation today. From nurturing families to revolutionizing industries, these women have been the backbone of American progress.
For over two and a half centuries, women have propelled our country forward, achieving remarkable milestones and contributing to our shared triumphs. Today, across all sectors, women are not just participants but leaders, innovators, and role models. Whether they are serving in our armed forces, leading in government, launching businesses, or raising the next generation, each one plays a crucial role in guiding the strength and prosperity of our great nation.
In recognition of this vital contribution, my administration is committed to implementing policies that empower women, support families, and strengthen communities. Since my return to office last year, we have made significant strides: we have permanently expanded the child tax credit, invested in the future through the establishment of Trump Accounts, and lowered the costs of essential medications like insulin and fertility treatments through TrumpRx. Additionally, we are protecting the integrity of women’s sports by enforcing Title IX as originally intended and ensuring that colleges maintain, and ideally increase, scholarship opportunities for female athletes. Concurrently, we are focused on restoring public safety and the rule of law, creating an environment where women, children, and families can thrive in security.
Moreover, we are revitalizing the American economy, ensuring that women who work diligently, create businesses, and foster industries can achieve unprecedented success. Small business owners can now benefit from a substantial 20 percent tax deduction, while farmers gain access to new trade markets for their American-grown products. Thanks to the comprehensive One Big Beautiful Bill, we have eliminated taxes on tips and overtime pay, effectively increasing the financial well-being of hardworking women across our nation.
This month, we not only recognize but celebrate the extraordinary women who have built our nation, influenced our values, and elevated our spirit. May their legacies inspire future generations to pursue excellence, lead courageously, and uphold the enduring values that position America as a beacon of hope and opportunity in the world.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, DONALD J. TRUMP, President of the United States of America, by the authority vested in me by the Constitution and the laws of the United States, do hereby proclaim March 2026 as Women’s History Month. I urge public officials, educators, librarians, and all citizens of the United States to observe this month with meaningful programs, ceremonies, and activities.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand this twelfth day of March, in the year of our Lord two thousand twenty-six, and of the Independence of the United States of America the two hundred and fiftieth.
DONALD J. TRUMP
