Labeling Donald Trump as unpopular seems like an understatement. He is uniquely the only president in polling history who never maintained majority approval from the nation.

Trump’s highest approval ratings occurred when he reached the 40s just before assuming office for a second time. At that point, the American public believed he would address issues like prices and inflation.

This period of optimism lasted only three weeks, until it became evident that his plans would exacerbate these issues rather than solve them.

Since this realization, Trump’s approval ratings have plummeted rapidly, akin to a malfunctioning elevator. However, he remains unconcerned as he no longer faces re-election.

In contrast, his party members, who still need to secure votes, should be alarmed by these declining poll numbers.

Trump’s approval ratings continue to hit new lows. His economic approval rating is lower than George W. Bush’s, and his handling of inflation fares worse than Joe Biden’s and Jimmy Carter’s, both of whom faced substantial inflation challenges during their presidencies.

More troubling for Trump is the fact that his numbers could decline even further.
