Elon Musk’s xAI Launches Standalone iOS App for AI Chatbot Grok

Elon Musk’s artificial intelligence company, xAI, has recently introduced a standalone iOS app for its popular chatbot, Grok. Previously only available to X users, the app is now accessible to a wider audience.

The app, currently available in several countries such as the U.S., Australia, and India, leverages real-time data from the web and X to offer advanced generative AI capabilities. Users can enjoy features like text rewriting, summarization of lengthy paragraphs, basic Q&A functionality, and even image generation based on text prompts.

Described as an AI-powered assistant focused on truthfulness, usefulness, and curiosity, Grok allows users to ask any question, create compelling images, and gain a deeper understanding of various topics.

In addition to the iOS app, xAI is also working on launching a dedicated website, Grok.com, to provide web access to the chatbot. Although the site is currently under construction with a “coming soon” message, users can expect a seamless online experience in the near future.

Originally exclusive to X’s premium subscribers, Grok has recently introduced a free version of the chatbot for all users. The company has emphasized the image generator model’s ability to render photorealistic images without imposing major restrictions, allowing users to create various visuals including those featuring public figures and copyrighted content.

The launch of the Grok app in multiple countries in beta signifies xAI’s commitment to expanding the reach of its innovative AI technologies. With a focus on enhancing user experience and accessibility, the company continues to push the boundaries of AI development.
