Xzibit has initiated the process to legally end his marriage with estranged wife Krista Joiner, despite ongoing negotiations for a settlement agreement.

The rapper filed paperwork in Los Angeles seeking to bifurcate his divorce, separating his marital status from discussions on child and spousal support. This move aims to establish his single status legally while the divorce proceedings continue.

Xzibit emphasizes that he and Krista have been separated for over four years. While a trial date is approaching, he anticipates a lengthy resolution process and desires to reclaim single status.

Xzibit’s legal team has attempted to communicate with Krista regarding finalizing the divorce to no avail. They report a lack of response from her or her representatives in recent correspondence.

This recent legal action follows Krista’s previous request to the court for an additional $30,000 per month to maintain her previous lifestyle.

Krista cited difficulties in downsizing from a luxurious property and adjusting to a new financial reality, including limitations on luxury purchases, as reasons for her financial demands.
