Canelo Alvarez and Terence Crawford, two of the biggest names in boxing, recently had a light-hearted conversation with Piers Morgan that took an unexpected turn. The conversation revolved around their upcoming undisputed super middleweight title contest, scheduled for Sep. 13 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada.

During the interaction, Morgan jokingly asked Alvarez and Crawford if they could kill him with their bare hands, to which the American boxer boldly replied, “I could. I’ll choke you out.” This statement sparked a surprised reaction from Morgan, who was taken aback by the response.

Alvarez, known for his knockout power, chimed in by saying he could easily knock out Morgan with just one punch, emphasizing that Morgan isn’t used to taking hits. Crawford, on the other hand, expressed his confidence in knocking out Morgan, stating, “You’re going to sleep.”

Alvarez, with a record of 63-2-2, is riding a six-fight win streak, with his most recent victory being a super middleweight title unification bout against William Scull. Crawford, with an impressive undefeated record of 41-0, last fought Israil Madrimov for the junior middleweight title and secured a unanimous decision win.

In a recent press conference, Crawford vowed to knock out Alvarez in their upcoming superfight, stating that anyone can be knocked out, including Alvarez. He expressed his focus on controlling the fight and winning decisively, calling this moment his mega fight.

Alvarez responded by highlighting his vast experience and confidence in winning the fight, prompting a smile from Crawford. The stage is set for a thrilling showdown between two of the best in the sport, with both fighters determined to come out on top.
