Paige returned to WWE at WrestleMania 42, stepping in for Nikki Bella to partner with Brie Bella in a Fatal Four-Way match for the Women’s Tag Team Championship. Together, Paige and Brie secured the WWE Women’s Tag Team Title.
After her significant comeback to the Stamford-based company and winning the title, The Anti-Diva appeared on What’s Your Story? with Stephanie McMahon. During the show, she recounted a distressing experience following the leak of her private tapes.
Thanks for the submission!
While at a bar with a friend, a drunken man approached her and insultingly called her a “p*rnstar,” which deeply hurt her. She quickly went to the bathroom and cried, fearing that her leaks would define her legacy.
“I kept that in the back of my mind [to not stress], even though it is very hard to live by, but I kept that in the back of my mind. Just walking in the street, I was very embarrassed. And then I remember, I was at this bar with my friends, not drinking, I was eating, and someone who was drunk came up to me and said, ‘Oh, you’re the f*cking p*rnstar,’ and I froze. I ran into the bathroom, cried my eyes out. I sobbed because I thought that’s what I was going to be remembered for,” Paige said (H/T: TJR Wrestling)
Paige made her WWE SmackDown return last week
The April 24 edition of Friday Night SmackDown saw The Anti-Diva return to the brand after several years. Paige and Brie Bella entered the ring to face Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss.
The match was intense until The Fatal Influence made their debut on the blue brand, launching an attack on all the women involved in the tag team match, which resulted in a disqualification.
It will be exciting to see how far Paige progresses in her current run with the company.
