Zac Efron and Dylan Efron share a remarkable brotherly connection that even takes them on adventures at sea.
On Wednesday, September 9, Dylan, 34, shared a photo on Instagram with the caption “Taking it easy ☀️,” showing him and Zac, 38, relaxing shirtless on a boat, basking in the sun over clear waters.
During their lake getaway, the brothers engaged in wakeboarding and enjoyed a round of golf, capturing the attention of social media followers with their impressive physiques.
Taylor Lautner humorously commented, “My aunt Tammy is on this app chill,” while former NFL player Lonie Paxton added, “Take it easy bros. Save some for the rest of us.”
Survivor alum Mitch Guerra added, “The boys are thrivin’.”
Zac is the elder sibling to Dylan, who gained popularity after appearing on The Traitors season 3. Zac and Dylan also have two younger half-siblings, Henry and Olivia.
“I just think back and my brother was such a good brother to me and I want to be that for them,” Dylan exclusively told Us in 2023, referring to Henry and Olivia. “I like thinking what they think of me and I want to be that presence for them.”
Their strong bond has continued into adulthood, with Dylan producing Zac’s Down to Earth docuseries, exploring food, culture, and sustainable living.

“I love doing stuff with my brother. There’s a really comforting thing being with family [and] doing this stuff,” he gushed to Us at the time. “That’s always going to be high up there on what I love to do. But I think it’s good that we do things separately too because I remember back in the day, we wanted to do a show together and I really wouldn’t have been prepared for that. He’s been in front of the camera his whole life and it’s been second nature for him. I was a shy little kid, so I’ve had to grow into that.”
When Dylan stepped out of his comfort zone as a contestant on Dancing With the Stars season 34 last year, he had Zac’s complete support.
“It means everything. I grew up watching him do stuff like this,” Dylan told Entertainment Tonight in November 2025 after the semifinals. “Looking over, my family’s there, my girlfriend [Courtney King]. Just seeing all of them together, that’s my support.”
Zac was in the audience during the semifinals’ tribute to Prince, applauding as Dylan received his scores. The High School Musical star went viral when fans mistakenly thought he was asking their mom if Dylan’s score was good.
“I thought it was funny, but then Zac was like, ‘Oh no.’ He’s like, ‘They’re misinterpreting it,’” Dylan recalled on the Smith Sisters Live in December 2025. “I can’t remember what he was saying, but I think he said that he thought it was a really good dance. So he is like, ‘Is that the highest score they would give?’ I think he was more like, ‘That should have been higher or something like that,’ but … Zac got defensive. He is like, ‘No, they misinterpreted what I meant.’”
Dylan ultimately lost DWTS to Robert Irwin.
