There was a shooting involving an Edgewater Police Department officer in Wheat Ridge on Saturday morning, resulting in one person being taken to the hospital, according to officials.

The incident started in Edgewater and ended up in the area of West 32nd Avenue and Pierce Street in Wheat Ridge, as per the agency’s social media post.

Edgewater police reported that one officer was involved in the shooting and one suspect was transported to the hospital, with the officer remaining unharmed.
