The Shocking Story of Dennis Rader, the BTK Killer, as Told by His Daughter

Between 1974 and 1991, Dennis Rader terrorized the Wichita, Kansas area by killing at least ten people before he was finally caught and sentenced to ten life sentences. Known as the “BTK Killer” for his chilling signature of “bind, torture, kill” in letters to the police, Rader’s daughter, Kerri Rawson, never suspected the dark secrets her father harbored. Her world was shattered in 2005 when authorities revealed the truth about her father’s heinous crimes.

This gripping documentary delves into Rawson’s childhood with a father she thought she knew, only to discover the monstrous truth later in life. Despite the shock and trauma, Rawson has since dedicated herself to assisting law enforcement in uncovering more of her father’s potential victims and advocating for victims of crime and trauma. The unique perspective of being the child of a notorious serial killer offers a haunting and profound insight into a life intertwined with darkness.
