The landscape of fantasy football has evolved in recent years, with a clear shift towards dual-threat quarterbacks. Gone are the days of relying solely on pocket passers like Tom Brady and Peyton Manning; now, fantasy football managers are seeking out QBs who can both throw the ball effectively and make plays with their legs. Players like Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson, and Patrick Mahomes have emerged as the new standard for success in fantasy football, combining passing and rushing skills to dominate the fantasy landscape.

In the spirit of this trend, here are three sleeper QBs to target in your 2025 fantasy football draft:

1. Caleb Williams:
Caleb Williams entered the NFL with high expectations but struggled in his rookie season, finishing as the QB16 in fantasy football. However, Chicago has made significant investments in their offensive line to protect Williams, and new head coach Ben Johnson brings an offensive mindset to the team. With a talented group of playmakers surrounding him, Williams has the potential for a breakout season in 2025 at a reasonable draft price.

2. Trevor Lawrence:
Trevor Lawrence was also hailed as a generational talent coming into the league but has yet to fully realize his potential. The Jacksonville Jaguars have made moves to support Lawrence, including hiring head coach Liam Coen, known for developing NFL quarterbacks. The addition of star wide receiver Travis Hunter in the draft further bolsters Lawrence’s supporting cast. Despite his struggles, Lawrence has the upside of a mid-range QB1 and could be a steal in late-round drafts.

3. Drake Maye:
Drake Maye may not inspire much confidence as a second-year QB on a subpar team, but he showed flashes of brilliance in 2024. With a career touchdown to interception ratio of 15:10, Maye has the tools to succeed. The New England Patriots added star wide receiver Stefon Diggs in free agency, providing Maye with a top weapon and mentor. With another year of experience under his belt, Maye has the potential to be a fantasy football league winner in 2025.

These sleeper QBs offer a mix of talent, opportunity, and potential upside for fantasy football managers looking to gain an edge in their drafts. Keep an eye on these players as they could make a significant impact on your fantasy team this season.
