While I can’t confidently label this season of The Morning Show as “good,” it’s certainly been filling a void left by the absence of shows like And Just Like That… and The Summer I Turned Pretty. The captivating trio of Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon, and Greta Lee does a commendable job of keeping viewers engaged.

This week’s episode shines a spotlight on Karen Pittman’s character Mia, which is a refreshing change of pace. Below are all my thoughts on The Morning Show Season 4, Episode 3.

  1. Honestly, I never want to set foot on a treadmill ever again.
  2. It does make for a decent environment to amp yourself up for a job that you likely won’t land, though.
  3. Sara Bareilles! Appearing as herself!
  4. Is she promoting an actual Sara Bareilles project?
  5. Now that’s synergy at its finest! Go for it!
  6. “I can’t wait to cry over the soundtrack in my car.” You nailed it, Bradley.
  7. Truly, if you can listen to the Waitress soundtrack without shedding a tear, you must be part robot or lizard.
  8. Alex just dropped a classic line, “I’m a journalist, I was just doing my job”! Time to take a drink!
  9. I’d love to see Greta Lee and Marion Cotillard share more on-screen moments.
  10. Oh look, it’s Teyana Taylor’s boyfriend Aaron Pierre!
  11. I can totally understand why she’d be attracted to him in real life; he radiates charm.
  12. I love the presence of Variety in the UBN universe.
  13. Jon Hamm has graced us with his presence!
  14. It’s honestly wild to think he looks even better now than during his Mad Men days.
  15. I must admit, I’m not particularly invested in the Bradley-Claire mystery subplot.
  16. “She’s rich and she’s bored” …no cap, skill issue. If I were wealthy, boredom would be the last of my worries!
  17. It’s hard not to think of Billy Crudup as the guy who left a pregnant Mary-Louise Parker in the past, even after all these years.
  18. Celine’s bob is defying all conventional measurements of hairstyle perfection.
  19. Is it possible to achieve that kind of hair without a dedicated stylist?
  20. (Not even close.)
  21. Speaking of hair, Stella’s bun continues to be flawless (and those loose pieces at the back? Chef’s kiss!).
  22. Mia, go get that Bradley!
  23. Every time a Cybertruck is made fun of on television, a celestial being earns its wings.
  24. “I value your dedication to this company, but I don’t see a larger vision at play.” That’s a serious burn, Celine.
  25. That long speech about journalist safety and “the truth under attack” really has me on edge.
  26. Then again, I’m mainly a blogger, so…
  27. Seeing Jennifer Aniston in tears just breaks my heart 🙁
  28. Seriously, Bradley? Who turns down bombolone? That’s a major L.
  29. There’s something about Chip that always leaves me feeling blue.
  30. I adore Mark Duplass, but he’s giving off some major “dad who used to not tip me well” vibes.
  31. The thought of “shaping the world and getting paid a fortune for it” sounds beyond stressful to me. I’ll pass on that!
  32. Wow, I almost forgot there’s actual intimacy in this show.
  33. Ah, poor Mia!
  34. Stella really dropped the ball by passing her up.
  35. Seriously, all Mia deserves is a significant raise!
  36. Mia is quitting? Ooooh, now that’s a twist!
  37. I can only imagine how satisfying buying impressive artwork must feel when you’re a wealthy news executive.
